With Canadian Pacific Railway set to take over the Central Maine & Quebec Railway US operations at 0001 hrs on Thursday, June 4, the final pair of road trains between Brownville Jct., ME and Farnham, QC were operated under the CMQ banner and symbology. Beginning on June 4, the new Montreal to Brownville Jct. merchandise train will be CP 250, while the westbound counterpart will be CP 251. On June 2, the last CMQ Job 1 train is north of Greenville at Harford Point, with soon to be re-retired CMQ “blue barns” SD40-2F 9023 and 9022 leading a pair of CP AC44CWs, the replacements.
