Since 2006, China Railway adopted technologies from other countries and unveiled a series of high-speed trains. CRH1A was developed based on Bombardier’s Regina train from Sweden. The first batch of trains entered service on Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway in 2007, at an operating speed of 200km/h.
