Rio Tinto's Roberval & Saquenay Railway is currently well into a one-year trial of GECX C40-8Ws 7742 and 7703 on the road train between Arvida and La Baie. On Saturday, December 7, the GECX 7742 leads GMTX GP38-2 2139, GECX 7703, and RS GP38-2 #70 across the Chicoutimi River in the namesake region or Saguenay. The GEs will soon be supplemented by or replaced in some cases by a pair of SD70MACs that will also be on a one-year trial.
