"The Saint-Laurent Straightaway on the Deux-Montagnes Line"
A train of MR-90s hustles up the Saint-Laurent straightaway on the Deux-Montagnes Line as a small snow squall passes through the area. The abandoned CN Doney Spur can be seen adjacent to the line covered in snow. The Doney Spur was used by Canadian National to access a decent amount of freight customers, but was given up around late 2017. The line will become a branch of the REM Light Rail. The Deux-Montagnes Line is currently being converted from heavy rail commuter to light rail meaning many distinctive traits of this line, including the one off Bombardier MR-90 rail cars, will be eliminated or changed forever. |
