Remarks & Notes |
"Pointe St-Charles Switcher at Marché Bonsecours"
The snow is coming down heavy as the Pointe St-Charles Switcher passes by the Bonsecours Market on the Canadian National Wharf Spur just before entering the Port of Montreal. The Bonsecours Market is a two-story domed public market opened in 1847. For more than 100 years, it was the main public market in the Montreal area. It also briefly accommodated the Parliament of United Canada for one session in 1849. It now hosts several boutiques, art galleries & restaurants. |
