The Illinois Zephyr pulls out of Chicago Union Station. The White Star Strobes flashed only for a few seconds before the engineer turned them off. I was glad to capture them, as this sight had disappeared from most Amtrak trains.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
