One of the most unique locomotive that Sequatchie Valley Railroad has on their roster is the SQVR 1466. Built in 1972 for the Southern Pacific this MP15AC has seen two different class 1 railroads in its 46 year sine it rolled out of EMD's LaGrange Shop. It was retired by the Union Pacific, and was purchase by the Sequatchie Valley Railroad for use on the shortline. This motor is equip with a RCO system that could be used for RCO operation, but I don't believe that the current owner will need that system. Also the significance thing about this locomotive was the fact that the armor yellow, and harbor mist gray inspired the Sequatchie Valley Railroad to used this paint scheme, but only with a lighter shade of yellow paint. Photo was shop with premission.
