The Jersey Central owned fifteen six-axle Alco road switchers, fourteen RSD4s and a single RSD5, CNJ 1615. They were often found working on the railroad's Pennsylvania lines, where the 1615 was receiving attention from the crew at the Bethlehem engine terminal the CNJ shared with the Reading.
