| The CP's Laredo Sub crosses over three trestles spanning the rolling hills of southeastern Monroe County. Two of the trestles are located at a point known as Foster, a few miles East of Moravia. The middle trestle was built somewhere around 1938 over Soap Creek and is 965 feet long. Here a southbound sand train heads towards Kansas City from Ottumwa, the last crew change point. |
