Skirting the distinct Book Cliffs in the Utah desert, Union Pacific’s Potash local climbs Thompson Hill on the Green River Subdivision main line on February 10, 2006. The local will begin its trip down the 37.4 mile Potash Branch (Cane Creek Subdivision) from the junction at Brendel located about five miles west of Thompson.
