This beauty was built in 1944 for Independent State of Croatia in the II. ww, but after the war JZ (Yugoslavian state railways) placed it under Ljubljana's control which stationed it to Jesenice. It ran until the end of steam traction of Bohinjska proga (name of Jesenice-Nova Gorica line). It was rebuilt in 2012 and since then runs every weekend in the summer on excursions round Slovenia. We were quite excited for this run, because for October the scenery turns bright yellow and the schedule allows to shoot the train at sunset. Couldn't turn out better. If time and weather allows us, we are going to be back for November, too.
