Two Missabe workhorses at Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth & Northeastern 28 was wearing temporary DM&IR lettering for a photo charter the next day. It was originally built for the Duluth, Missabe & Northern in 1906 and was retired by the Missabe in the mid-1950s before being purchased by D&NE. Lighting by Chris Guss.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
