It's early spring in SW Virginia. The redbuds are blossoming; the leaves on many of the trees are starting to come out. CSX 506 leads an empty hopper train across the curved trestle in East Stone Gap. Only a few more miles until the train regains CSX rails for the remainder of the return trip to the eastern Kentucky coal fields.
