One of the oldest locomotives on the BN roster at merger day was BN 991, a 1946 model NW5, one of EMD's earliest attempt at a road switcher. X-GN 191, the unit worked its final years in the Pacific Northwest. It is viewed here at Interbay, Seattle, with some much newer BN power, a U33C and SD45, as well as a vintage GN/NP F unit pair.
