Looking down at Crozier Canyon, a heavy eastbound stack train from the ports of Los Angeles battles the nearly 1.5% grade up Yampai Hill. Nestled between Truxton and Valentine, Ariz., Crozier Canyon is home to grazing cattle, red rock plateaus, and the former Santa Fe Transcontinental. The tracks snake along Truxton Wash as trains battle up to the 5,700 foot high summit at Yampai; some fifteen miles west of Seligman, Ariz. For over five minutes, you were able to hear these three GE motors chugging through the Canyon.
