"Welp!" It has been almost four and a half months since the July 14 derailment, and a few minor things has change since than. The corpse of the very first NS rebuilt Dash8.5CW still stand in its resting place, but the railroad has come through, and took what was salvageable off the locomotive, and with the help of a contractor, they've manage to removed the GE 7FDL prime mover off the locomotive which is very questionable if that was salvageable as well. Now the final chapter of this locomotive is coming to pass...or what left of it, is for a contractor to finally come in, and complete the job by cutting the locomotive up on the spot. Isn't it strange the current situation of this locomotive was all start by a very bad decision!? Like I said before thank god no one was killed in this accident!!!
