The Sri Lanka Railways M6 is a class of 16 Diesel-electric locomotives imported to Sri Lanka in 1979. They were manufactured by Thyssen-Henschel in Kassel, West Germany, under licence from Electro-Motive Division of the United States. The sister locomotive of #792 (# 793) has been destroyed by a bomb blast on March 25, 1986. At that time, the civil war in Sri Lanka was still going on. I personally find these locomotives quite ugly !
The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
