Remarks & Notes |
An inbound, unidentified long-distance train behind a spiffy rebuilt GE shovel nose crosses the extroardinarily chaotic Thanon Petchaburi grade crossing a short distance out of Bankok's Hua Lamphong station. Vehicle traffic at the five-way intersection is so dense that every train comes to a stop, and one by one, the four-quadrant gates are lowered manually as soon as there's enough of a gap in traffic to do so without causing a pileup. This typically takes a few minutes before the train is given the signal to proceed. |
