November 23, 2015 marked a sad day in Green Mountain Railroad history, as the final ex-GMRC GP40 made its farewell voyage across the namesake piece of railroad. GMRC train 263-23 is seen crossing the Mill River at Cuttingsville with VTR SD70M-2 432 and 431 book-ending VTR GP40-2 307 and GMTX GP40 3011 in tow. The GMTX 3011 is the former GMRC 304 and will join its sister ex-GMRC GP40 305 (GMTX 3012) at East Deerfield, MA to enter service on Pan Am Railways.
