Remarks & Notes |
I was hoping that this Utah Ry coal train would hurry up and get off the main line and onto the Castle Valley Spur before that nasty looking approaching storm reached me. I had followed this train all the way over Soldier Summit, down Price River Canyon to this spot; the wye junction of the CV Spur with Union Pacific’s Green River Sub. The location is between Price and Wellington, Utah and the short spur leads to the Savage Coal Terminal. This train had 5 grey and red UTAH legacy scheme painted 6 axles on the point. Not a sign of Genessee & Wyoming orange this day. A fitting railfan memorial for Memorial Day 2015. |
