This US Pipe locomotive is a 3-axle Plymouth Model W, with no discernable roadnumber. Weighing 25 to 35 tons, this switcher was at some point re-engined with a Caterpillar engine. This "critter" appeared to be out of service when it was photographed in Irwindale, California, in April 1981. Thanks to Bob Graham for the background on this industrial locomotive!
