| Amtrak 2158 might have been the first northbound Acela Express train to operate on the morning after a predicted heavy snowfall led to the shutdown of transportation systems across the New York metropolitan area. The storm wound up taking a track farther to the east, sparing the region but leaving commuters with few options during the morning commute. By late morning, service on the Northeast Corridor seemed to be returning to normal levels. |
