ČKD was one of the largest engineering companies in Czechoslovakia. Its tram products exported to cities in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, while Tatra T3 was the best-selling tram type. Over 13,000 tram cars built between 1960-97, Tatra T3s are still easily found in Prague, where the tram cars assembled.
