The former station and headquarters of the New York, Ontario & Western railroad is derelict and in imminent danger. In 2004 a fire gutted the opposite end of the building and no repairs were ever made. This magnificent structure, built in 1892 and designed by the highly regarded architect Bradford Lee Gilbert, has been nominated for the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places Program. We all must hope that money will come forward or this building and it's ties to the beloved O&W or "Old Woman" will be lost.
