On a beautiful evening following days of rain the returning Glacier Discovery rolls by McHugh Creek. This stretch of roadway, railway and shoreline is one of the most scenic in Alaska and because of all the same reasons it is also one of the most dangerous highways in Alaska. It isn't uncommon to see tourists just pulled over anywhere along the highway often at considerable danger to themselves as well as those following behind them.
