| Rush hour at Jersey Ave...west and eastbound NJ Transit commuter trains meet at COUNTY interlocking. Track 4 has been out of service (denoted by the track barricade seen at left) between COUNTY and MIDWAY for several weeks due to a concrete tie replacement project. Amtrak's Track Laying Machine is currently working around Deans, about 3 miles east of MIDWAY, so the bottleneck here will continue. This project is expected to last until late 2013, with track 1 also scheduled for tie replacement. |
