| A late-running 211 passes CP 88 mid-afternoon in the shadow of the once-great and thriving Bethlehem Steel mill. The mill property has since been subdivided and contains a wide variety of businesses including a local TV station, a casino/hotel complex, Lehigh Heavy Forge (with at least a historical tie-in to the former mill) and Lehigh Valley Rail Management. LVRB's facilities include an intermodal terminal which is adjacent to the truck-laden I-78 corridor. The cut of double-stack cars seen in the distance were set off by NS 20K earlier in the day and will eventually be transferred over to the intermodal facility by an LVRB crew. |
