A beat up former Wisconsin Central GP40 3025 sits in a Montana Rail Link shop building in Livingston. Apparently, the GP40 (stenciled RIMX) was acquired by the MRL when CEECO (Coast Engine and Equipment Company) closed in 2009. The GP40 was born Western Pacific. After Union Pacific, it became Chicago, Missouri & Western no. 3025, and later the same number on the WC. The good news is that when time allows, MRL shop forces in Livingston will be getting this beast back on the road.
