I would love to buy a building that had a GP40 in it!

Could this be classified as a "barn find" locomotive as in the lore of automobiles and long-disappeared but found again cars ???

Looks like one of the GP40's rebuilt by LRC back when they first came to WC from CM&W. You can tell by the misplaced road number on the long hood. Wonder how that works out...we bought a building and "hey look boss, we got a spare unit too". All joking aside, I'm happy to see any ex WC unit that has survived.

I'm always glad to hear of old iron horses being nursed back to health to fly down the rails again. I think it would be a great tribute to this old girl to let her keep the #3025. She's been around the block, and I for one think she's earned that number.

It looks like the fuel tank is "emty". :-)

WC 3025 has become my favorite WC unit only with the fact of my very first cabride the the late-90's. Sure will be missed in Wisconsin but glad to hear that someday this unit will once again be operating for another company.

A GP40 in EWS livery? Good to hear it will be operating again ! I like these locos, better than the more upto date things. Seriously English Welsh & Scottish train operators used the same basic livery on their Canadian built Class 66 locomotives built by EMD in London Ontario I believe. They where going to add the shield design but found that it did not suit the design!
