| Union Pacific SD9043AC #8109 heads west along Interstate 80 as it and a trio of GEs powers its train toward Echo and then onward to Ogden.
I remember this day really well as I spent the entire afternoon running up and down Echo Canyon drive chasing trains up and down the canyon. Late in the afternoon as I had been enjoying the day and sun was setting I rolled over something on the road that caught my attention. I backed up the car and rolled down the window to find I had just rolled over a rattle snake. Needless to say that spooked me enough to call it a day as I was traveling alone.
None the less....a wonderful and beautiful area to enjoy natures beauty and a great bit of railroading! |
