| Surrounded by peak fall colors North Shore Railroad's sharp looking SW1500 #1940 brings eight loaded crosstie gons up the steep grade at Excelsior on the Shamokin Valley Railroad enroute to interchange with the Reading & Northern at Locust Summit. At Locust Summit the crew will interchange the eight loads to the R&N (at Mount Carmel Jct) and pick up 20 empty crosstie gons for the trip back to Muncy, PA for loading. Shortline mountain railroading in Pennsylvania during the beautiful fall color season is well worth a visit! |
