| For the last time, NSM 273 (ex-NS, Werkspoor 1952) leaves the railwaymuseum in the old stationbuilding of Utrecht Maliebaan in southern direction. The train runs to Maarn and back (which takes in total about 40 minutes) and gives the visitors of the museum the opportunity to make a trip in an old train. The train is therefore called 'Heimwee Expres' (Homesick Express). In the coming months, the line will be closed and scrapped. In the future, the museum will only be accessible from the north (Blauwkapel). The line (Hilversum-)Blauwkapel-Utrecht Maliebaan-Lunetten was opened in 1874. |
