Chicago and North Western’s Janesville to Chicago freight crosses the Tiffany Bridge over Turtle Creek at Tiffany, Wisconsin, on the morning of July 29, 1995. This view is from wading into Turtle Creek, much like the fisherman at the base of the bridge. The hardest part was keeping still in the water as the train approached so the reflection stayed intact, all while little fish nibbled and swam round our legs (at least I hope they were fish). The eastbound train was led by a clean SD40-2 No. 6816, but trailed a Southern Pacific (cinder block) SD45T-2 No. 6775 and a weathered C&NW GP40 No. 5521.
