Remarks & Notes |
Man has invented many ways to convert the Earth's bounty into electricity. Here we see two, simultaneously juxtaposing each other in the form of a BNSF train hauling coal bound for Roberts Bank, British Columbia and export to Asia to burn in coal fired power plants and McNary Dam producing cheap clean hydro electric power for the Pacific Northwest. Not sure how many NIMBYS were around proclaiming the end is near with the damming of the Columbia River but I'm sure there must have been a few. Today, an entirely new generation of NIMBYS are continuing the cause and trying to put a stop to Greenhouse gas emissions produced by coal fired power plants and the railroads that haul this coal. Enjoy central heating and air conditioning while you can! This photo was possible by the miracle of stored electricity provided by a lithium battery pack. |
