Remarks & Notes |
Three CSX GE Dash 8s lead a TVA loaded unit coal train up to the crest of "Hagans Hill" on the CV Subvidision deep in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia. This train loaded on the St. Charles Branch and is now working its way back toward Corbin, KY for its run south over the KD subdivision to Kingston, TN. This particular Sunday evening on the "CV" was busy as this train had just met a southbound loaded coal train at Hubbard Springs. Approximately 100 cars back, two CSX GE ACs strain to get the last half of the train over the hump for the downhill run toward Hagan Switchback. |
