| Let's drag the time machine back to 1970. Two soldiers from the GDR border troops based on the Brocken mountain are returning with their vehicle to Schierke. They had to make a brief stop at this level crossing to allow this freight train to storm up to the summit. On the other side of the crossing, a Wartburg is also waiting for the train to pass.
