After a fifteen year restoration by the volunteers of the Monticello Railway Museum, Southern 401, a Baldwin Locomotive Works H4 2-8-0 built in November of 1907, debuted on Saturday and Sunday during the Railroad Days event. The 401 is shown with two of the NS executive F units during the night photo session conducted by Chris Guss, Don Kalkman and Steve Smedley on the museum grounds, with droplets of rain visible in the strobe lighting provided by ''Hand of God Lighting Productions''.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
