The final days for a veterans touch. Les Hancock, after nearly 35 years as a clerk for BN, BNSF, Watco, and finally, the Washington & Idaho Railway, takes the last count of cars for his career. BNSF dropped one too many cars overnight on the W&I's rails. The mystery car, has no place today in Marshall. With his years of knowledge and numbers in mind, he quickly sorts the car out and the Highball crew is to spot the car on the outbound track. The Burlington Northern ring displayed proudly on his finger, signifying 10 years of service, is a rare commodity of the once wonderful fallen flag. Congratulations to Les for over three decades of service to the railroad community! I wish him happiness, health, and plenty of golf.
