Here's a ground-level view of the pit at Columbus and leased Santa Fe 5034. PRR steam is seen in the background, their version of the 2-10-4, also used in Sandusky coal service. The Santa Fe engines would be off the property in less than two months, never to be fired again. PRR was able to find enough serviceable steamers to supplant them for the lake season in '57.
