Remarks & Notes |
On 4th February 2010 the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall travelled by Royal Train to Manchester. The train was hauled by new steam loco no. 60163 Tornado on this occasion. While their Royal Highnesses were in Manchester, the train went to Preston for servicing. It took the route via Bolton and Chorley and was hauled by "Royal" DBS loco no 67005 Queens Messenger, with the steam engine dragged along at the rear. The weather was pretty dull all day. Here we see the ensemble approaching Orlando Bridge at Bolton on its way to Preston. |
