Remarks & Notes |
Recently repainted Chattanooga Traction Company SW1 #4 sits in the morning sunlight along with a former Laurinburg & Southern wooden caboose (in the process of being repainted) on Easter Sunday 2009 in Knoxville. #4 was delivered to CTC in 1947 and later became Southern Railway #1002 and Norfolk Southern #1002. Most recently it was operated by RJ Corman Railroad before being aquired by the Gulf and Ohio. It will be used as diesel power for the G&O's Three Rivers Rambler Scenic Excursion Train in Knoxville when W&L 2-8-0 #203 is not operating.
