The shadows are lengthening on an autumn afternoon as an old outside frame 4-4-0 rounds the curve at Little Rock, the River Severn can be seen in the background. The first vehicle in the train is a GWR Siphon G, these were used to collect milk (in churns) and were especially fitted out with brackets to hold the churns. The train is typical of a 1930s branch line. The locos were nicknamed "Dukedogs" since they were an amalgamation of the chassis of a Bulldog with the boiler of a Duke class loco.
