David outlives Goliath. This rather decrepit little 0-6-0 outlasted the Big Boys and Challengers. Former UP 4455 hauled limestone for the Monolith Portland Cement Company plant near Laramie until 1970, and is I believe the last UP steam engine to be in any kind of regular revenue service. It is now preserved at the Colorado Railroad Museum. |
