Ah ha, another shoebox is opened! This is an odd critter for sure - it defied recognition as my mind tried to place it in Africa or China. Great shot, John. Never saw an 0-6-0 quite like that, UP non-the-less. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John for posting this great photo. Good timing as it is being moved in the next few days onto a new display track with the snow plow. Interesting to see it with a very different tender than what it now has.

Looking at this locomotive, I notice many "bodily" features that relate it to Union Pacific's steam engines. Despite its size, you can clearly see that the blood of the great Big Boys and Challengers still runs deep within its veins.
