| NS 7560 leads two other GEVO units eastbound on loaded coal train 770 as it drifts along US Highway 23 through Duffield, VA at 10:50 a.m. This is a test train testing the use of distributed power units as helpers, as opposed to the manned pushers which operate over this line currently. Two additional ES40DCs along with a C40-9W were on the rear operating as DPU/remote helpers (a crew was on board to monitor their performance). From all radio conversations I heard, things were going very well. |
