In low light just before sunset, my bro and I see PM 1225 nearing the "North Pole" with the setting sun looking about as bright as the headlight on the locomotive.

Q500 stops for traffic to clear, tossing water to some railfans who needed to produce more foam, with some tents of who camped overnight during the spring Railroadfan.com meet.

GLC 385 is having major problems, spewing lots of smoke into the air at the Saginaw County Fairgrounds. Ok, maybe PM 1225 is behind it. :)

Massive downpour of rain and under an umbrella with a tornado 10 miles to the south at this time, a grain train heads east through Fostoria.

CSX K905, a unit lime train, took the northeast wye at Wealthy St. The last 4 loaded lime cars tipped on their sides. Believed to be part soggy weather and lack of ballast made the rails spread.... (more)

Couldn't believe the cop ticketed the little girl for standing on the tracks.... ok, maybe not. Marquette Rail's Santa Train stops in Grant for crowds to gather around Santa and his elves.

Southbound after a runby at Henderson, 1225 surrounds its freight train in steam at MP 65. Crew took lunch break after this, and the day of shooting continued.

Passing south through Henderson, we see them going past an old Ann Arbor caboose with the brakeman outside.
