CSX K905, a unit lime train, took the northeast wye at Wealthy St. The last 4 loaded lime cars tipped on their sides. Believed to be part soggy weather and lack of ballast made the rails spread.
What a beast this one was! CP #9149 (SD90MAC) heads west past my new perch at Baldwin St. Very convienient having this isolated bridge that is surrounded by a very busy car traffic area.

Listed as the last Q196 to pass through Grand Rapids, here's Q19620 eastbound in some ridiculously heavy snow at Alger St bridge. We had green grass earlier in the day with hardly a trace of snow.... (more)
Heading away from the sunset, CSXT 8155 shows some great contrast much like the clouds and signals in the background.
CP 8512 leads X500 into the sunrise at 7:30am, about to meet CSX N914 at Elmdale siding.
Got an early start out of Muskegon, snowing most of the way to Holland, then a break in the clouds. Heard this might be leading, and sure enough, lucked out with strong sunlight and the dark snows... (more)
