A westbound UP passenger special roars into a lava flow cut just east of Minidoka, Idaho. I have no idea what the special was, but was suprised to see that two SD40-2s drew the assignment.

A westbound UP junk train accelerates out of the sag at Minidoka, Idaho. The rails to the right are the interchange track with the Eastern Idaho Railroad.
