Vintage Chicago area transfer power meets head to head on IHB's often-busy multiple track beltline. A pair of aging IHB SD20's with autos for Canadian Pacific complete the scene.
The CNW duo continue to hold down the Proviso - Markham transfer which runs back 'n forth on the IHB to Blue Island then gets on the old Grand Trunk for the short run to the CN at Markham.

CNW 8701 & 8646 head along the old GT&W main through Dixmoor on their way to the CN at Markham.
CNW 8701 & 8646 are still chugging along, this time on a Proviso - Markham transfer coming through Blue Island as a northbound vehicle train on the Harbor goes by.
It dont get much uglier than one of these... Its almost hard to believe CN hasn't painted them! Anyway, a southbound transfer from Proviso to Homewood passes the closed down tower at Argo.
