BNSF 4540 stops just outside of tunnel #2, as a westbound holds the siding. In the distance a set of helpers works to get a stalled train on the move again.

UP 5029 comes out of tunnel #2 and winds up the hill through Bealeville, CA.

DPU's on the rear of a northbound coal train drop downgrade through the signals at mp 341.3 between Cliff and Bealville.

Southern Pacific U33Cs 8654 and 8606 have been added to the front of 8771 east, which stalled on the hill at Bealville while crossing the Tehachapi Mountains on January 20, 1978.

Two U33Cs, and SD45T-2 and and SD45 have stalled while pulling a freight upgrade at Bealville, in the Tehachapi Mountains in southern California. Help is on the way...

A shamefully tunnel-glossed GE leads a much older, much cleaner GE past a waiting BNSF GE at Bealville Rd.

One of over 1300 BNSF GE C44-9W's would be boring unless you add the beautiful Tehachapi Mts. and a solid train of boxcars.
